چکیده
Autologous skin substitute production for severe burn patients requires particular attention to culture conditions in order maintain stem cells, as various factors can affect their preservation and give variable clinical results. The goal of this study was create a database from all the data medical records available since beginning LOEX’s activities find which keratinocytes fibroblasts. With retrospective epidemiological study, 538 cell datasets 299 Canadian were collected. We focused on effect sex, age, biopsy location, etiology, percentage total body surface area (TBSA) burned, delay between presence hair or fat extraction yield proliferation. Relationships explored univariate analysis. Regarding yield, more (p=0.001; R2=0.032) fibroblasts (p<0.001; R2=0.221) obtained younger patients. Biopsy location had an impact too (p=0.005) with pubis, armpit neck giving higher yield. Other variables no Proliferation impacted by (p<0.001), (p=0.004; R2=0.04), etiology (p=0.075), TBSA burned R2=0.071), mainly keratinocyte growth at passage 1 (P1) affected. Etiology influence P1 after thawing (p<0.001) such age R2=0.003) also proliferation P0 (p=0.043; R2=0.13). Sex only factor affecting just (p=0.017). other tested To conclude, we showed that both be affected different levels confirming need identify them improved treatment

Stratification of human epidermal cells into multilayered sheets composed of basal and suprabasal layers (resembling the stratum germinativum and stratum spinosum of the epidermis) was studied in a dermal component-free culture system. Although no stratum corneum developed in vitro, this culture system provided a method to study early events in human keratinocyte differentiation. Multiparameter...
متن کاملPhotodynamic therapy on keloid fibroblasts in tissue-engineered keratinocyte-fibroblast co-culture.
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Keloids are disfiguring, proliferative scars that are a pathologic response to cutaneous injury. An organotypic tissue culture system (the Raft model 1-10) was used to investigate the feasibility of using photodynamic therapy (PDT) as an adjunctive therapy to treat keloids following surgical excision. The Raft co-culture system mimics skin by layering keratinocytes on ...
